ザ・ワールドアパートメント Co&Co 札幌
The World Apartment is an international coliving concept in Sapporo run by the Co&Co group, which also operates a global cafe lounge with 1,500 members. Three properties across the city house residents from over 40 nationalities. The majority of residents at each house are non-Japanese, creating what the founders describe as a "domestic study abroad" experience.
The concept is built around language exchange and cultural immersion. Japanese residents teach Japanese in exchange for English or other languages, and the daily household conversation becomes a live language lesson. Regular community events including gyoza nights, takoyaki parties, sushi-making sessions, and seasonal Sapporo activities are organized by residents and staff throughout the year.
All three properties are fully furnished private roomswith shared kitchens, free laundry, and WiFi. No food service is provided and dietary options are not confirmed by the operator. Residents self-cater using the fully equipped kitchen. There is no dedicated coworking space, but residents work from their rooms or nearby cafes. The house targets ages 18-35 including students, working professionals, and working-holiday visa holders.
