Self Cafe Kameshima

A laptop-friendly unmanned cafe in Nakamura Ward, Nagoya that stays open around the clock, every day of the year. Self Cafe is a growing chain of staffless cafes across Japan, and this Kameshima branch sits on the ground floor of Mori Building at Sakoma 2-22-13. The concept is simple. Buy a drink from the self-serve machine, find a seat, stay as long as you need.

Power outlets are at every single seat in the room. Free high-speed WiFi is included. With 30 seats and no time limit on staying, this is a reliable base for extended work sessions at any hour. Because there is no staff on-site, the space stays quiet by default. There are no table turns, no one asking if you want anything else, and no background chatter from counter staff.

The drink menu covers the basics. Coffee options run from ¥420 for THE BLEND up to ¥440 for W-ROAST, キリっと珈琲 (a crisper roast), or cafe au lait. Tea drinkers can get straight tea or milk tea at ¥420 and ¥440 respectively. Matcha latte and premium cocoa are also on the menu at ¥440. All drinks come hot or iced, and you can add a size upgrade for ¥80. No food is served and bringing outside food or drinks is not permitted. Dietary options are not confirmed beyond the self-serve drink menu. Non-dairy milk alternatives are not listed, and no food of any kind is available on-site.

Payment is cashless only. The machine accepts smartphone QR pay, transit IC cards (Suica, Manaca, etc.), electronic money, and credit card tap-to-pay. No cash accepted, so come prepared. A paid meeting room and private booths are available for booking via lit.link if you need a more enclosed space. A copier is also on-site for a fee.
