はぷなコーヒー 今池
A quiet specialty coffee cafe in Imaikethat reviewers consistently describe as more peaceful than you'd expect from a main-road location. Hapuna coffee is a roastery cafe focused on light-roast, single-origin beans from around the world. The interior is small, built around blue and natural wood tones, with a few outdoor terrace seats for fair-weather days. Reviews spanning five years agree on one thing. The staff explain coffee with patience, in English too, and you leave knowing more than when you walked in.
For work, the signals are positive. One reviewer noted that many customers come here to relax, working on their computers, and the space is quiet enough to enjoy your coffee in peace. Seating is limited and tables sit close together, so it is better suited to solo sessions than group calls. No wifi speed or outlet information appears in any review. Go in knowing you may be relying on your own connection.
The coffee is the main event. Light-roast hand drip is the house specialty, with rotating single-origin beans. You can order a two-type tasting set from ¥1,100 and compare beans side by side, served in wine glasses for better aromatics. The cafe also sources beans from COFFEE COUNTY in Fukuoka. Drip coffee runs around ¥550–650. Food options include toast (cheese toast ¥380, pizza toast ¥430, honey butter toast), homemade pudding, cheesecakes, and rotating baked goods from local bakeries. Baked goods sell out by afternoon, so mornings are better if you want the full selection. Dietary options not confirmed in any review. If this matters to you, ask the staff directly.
A few practical notes. The cafe is closed on Tuesdays and closes at 18:30 other days. After hours the space is rented to other operators, so do not arrive near closing expecting a relaxed session. There is one parking space next to the building, accessed via a side street (not from the main road). Reviewers say it is narrow and easy to miss. PayPay is accepted. The cafe also rents evening space to third-party pop-ups, so the vibe shifts significantly after standard closing time.
