K's House Kanazawa is a well-established traveler's hostel that opened in June 2017, located on a quiet residential street in the Shintatemachi district. From JR Kanazawa Station, take the Kanazawa Loop Bus (Left Loop) from bus stop no. 7 and alight at stop LL6 Sakura-bashi. Walk 100 m in the direction the bus came from, then turn left at the second traffic light. After 30 m you will see the brick building on your left. A one-day Loop Bus pass is available at the hostel reception. Alternatively, take local bus #18 from stop no. 3 toward Tobushako, alight atSaiwai-cho, walk back 150 m, turn left at the first traffic light, then 180 m and right at the next light. The hostel is at the southern edge of the central Katamachi area, a short walk from the Saigawa riverfront.

About Shintatemachi

Shintatemachi is a quiet, characterful street in central Kanazawa lined with independent cafes, craft shops, and small galleries. It sits at the southern edge of the sightseeing core, within a 10–15-minute walk of Kenroku-en Garden, the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Higashi Chaya geisha district. The Saigawa River runs nearby, offering riverside walks with views of the Hakusan mountain range. From JR Kanazawa Station, the area is reached in roughly 15 minutes by the Kanazawa Loop Bus (alight at LL6 Sakura-bashi), making it a convenient base for exploring the city without staying in the tourist-heavy centre.
