From Dejima tram stop (Nagasaki Electric Tramway, lines 1 and 5), walk 2 minutes toward the waterfront. AGORA is on the second floor of Dejima Wharf. Take the stairs up from the ground floor restaurant level. Note that if approaching from the Dejima Museum side, the entrance can be slightly hard to find. The reception desk is at the top of the stairs.
Dejima is the historic waterfront district at the centre of Nagasaki city, built on the site of Japan's famous fan-shaped artificial island that served as the country's only authorized trading post during the Edo period. Today the area sits along the port at the mouth of the Urakami River, fronted by Dejima Wharf, a two-storey complex of restaurants and commercial spaces that looks directly out over Nagasaki Harbour.
The neighbourhood is quiet during working hours but comes alive in the evenings. The reconstructed Dejima historical site is a short walk away, and the broader Urakami riverside area offers cafes, small restaurants, and easy pedestrian access along the water. Nagasaki Chinatown is roughly ten minutes on foot. The waterfront tram lines connect directly to JR Nagasaki Station in under ten minutes.
