DS Branch

DS Branch is a free, drop-in community workspaceon the ground floor of Tower City Nagasaki in Asahimachi. Operated by DS Brand Co., Ltd. As a social innovation hub for the city, the space is open to anyone with no reservation required and no charge. The concept is built around the idea of gathering ideas from across the community and turning them into something. Described by the operators as an innovation co-creation base for SDGs.

Walk in, tell the receptionist it is your first visit, and they will show you around. No paperwork, no membership, no payment. Reviewers describe the vibe as calm and quiet, with background music, a collection of books to browse, and free drinking water available. Students, office workers, and general public use the space side by side.

The space is inside Tower Court, the residential tower block of Tower City Nagasaki, a large mixed-use complex in Asahimachi. The building also houses a math classroom run in partnership with the space. Regular community events and workshops are held here.
