NCBO was built around a single idea: that a guesthouse, a cafe bar, and a coworking space in the same building would produce encounters that none of them could generate alone. The building opened in Naniwa-ku, Osaka in August 2018, and the coworking space myx followed in January 2020. The three businesses share a single address but operate under separate brands — WABI SABI OSAKA (guesthouse), INARI GLEAN (cafe bar), and myx (coworking).
myx runs a monthly Language Exchange event organized by foreign staff, drawing on guests from the adjacent guesthouse as well as local freelancers. The space also offers a business mentor program supporting startups and new ventures. INARI GLEAN hosts regular creative workshops, craft markets, and music events in the evenings.
