プロコワ名古屋
A drop-in coworking space in Nakamura Ward, a seven-minute walk from Nagoya Station and one minute from Kokusai Center Station Exit 4. The space sits on the second floor of the Meiyon Building, a wood-grain interior that feels more like a neighbourhood café than a business centre. Procowa is run by JPro Co., Ltd. and has built a tight community of creators, freelancers, side-hustlers, and startup founders since it opened.
Drop-in use runs Monday through Saturday, 10:00 to 18:00. No reservation is needed. Walk in, pay at the door, and you get the full day. There is also a "sashiire" drop-in option where you bring shareable food or drink worth around ¥1,500 instead of paying cash. Monthly plans start from ¥5,500/month for a four-day flex or weekend-only option, up to ¥16,500/month for full seven-day access from 7:00 to 23:00. All plans require a minimum three-month commitment and a one-time ¥7,700 registration fee.
The workspace is well-equipped for a day of focused work. Four dual-monitor stations are available on a first-come basis. Six meeting rooms split between three semi-private booths and three enclosed private rooms, all set up for Zoom calls. A nap room is available for a proper mid-day reset. Wi-Fi and power outlets are included at every seat. Printer and shredder access is for members only. Drop-in visitors cannot book the private rooms.
Drinks are free. There is a drip coffee vending machine with freshly ground beans, a general free drink station, an Office Glico candy bar, and a member-only fridge. This is one of the better drink setups for a small coworking space. No food is served on-site and dietary options such as non-dairy milk, vegan, or gluten-free items are not confirmed in available data. Nearby restaurants along Meieki 4-chome are the practical option for lunch.
Community is genuinely central to what Procowa offers. The space runs regular "Mokumoku-kai" silent work meetups where members work alongside each other, plus a Facebook group called mura for connecting members. A matchmaking board and member file system help residents find collaborators for projects. The website lists members spanning video production, web design, illustration, startups, and corporate side-hustles. If you want a space where you might actually meet someone useful, this is a better bet than an anonymous chain coworking option.

Procowa describes itself as a place where connections happen rather than a place where you simply rent a desk. The operator runs regular Mokumoku-kai silent co-working meetups where members sit and work alongside each other, which acts as a low-pressure way to meet people. A private Facebook group called mura connects members beyond the physical space. In-house, a matchmaking board and member profile file let people find collaborators. The current member mix covers video production, web design, illustration, startup founders, and company employees doing side projects.
Monthly Mokumoku-kai (silent co-working meetup)
From Kokusai Center Station, use Exit 4 and walk one minute. From Nagoya Station, the underground Uni Mall shopping street is the recommended route and takes around seven minutes. The space is on the 2nd floor of the Meiyon Building at 4-17-3 Meieki, Nakamura Ward.
Nagoya Station (Meieki) is the city's main transport hub and one of the busiest stations in Japan outside Tokyo. The Shinkansen stops here, putting Osaka 50 minutes away and Tokyo under 90. The surrounding Meieki district is a dense business zone with hotel towers, office blocks, and convenience stores at every corner. For nomads passing through or staying short-term, the area trades neighbourhood charm for pure logistical efficiency: everything is walkable, English signage is good, and the Meitetsu and subway lines connect to all parts of the city from the same station complex.
