グリッチコーヒー ナゴヤ
A laptop-friendly specialty cafe in the lobby of the 9h Nine Hours capsule hotel, a five-minute walk from Nagoya Station. Glitch was founded in Tokyo's Jimbocho in 2015 and has since become one of Japan's most talked-about specialty roasters. The Nagoya branch is smaller and calmer than the Ginza or Osaka locations, with a sleek industrial interior, fewer queues, and an intimate atmosphere that works surprisingly well for focused time alone.
Power sockets at every seat and free wifi make this a practical stop for anyone who needs to get work done near the station. Multiple reviewers confirm charging points at each table. The Google Maps listing flags it as suitable for working on a laptop. It does share its lobby with the hotel check-in desk, so foot traffic from guests comes and goes. Avoid 10 to 11am when hotel checkouts create extra noise. Weekday mornings before that window are noticeably quieter.
The menu is drip or espresso only, with beans rotating through single-origin lots at the top end of specialty. Staff will walk you through the current selection, let you smell each bean, and make a recommendation. Light roast is the house philosophy. If you prefer dark or medium roasts, this is not the right cafe. Geisha, Pink Bourbon, and award-winning Colombian competition lots appear regularly. Pricing runs from around ¥800 for entry-level beans to ¥3,600 for premium competition lots. Prices are not posted in large print, so ask before ordering if the total matters to you. The banana bread is a signature food item made specifically for the Nagoya branch and worth ordering alongside your coffee.
Staff speak English fluently and are consistently praised across reviews for their knowledge and patience with first-time visitors. Seating is limited, so larger groups should be mindful of capacity. There is outdoor seating available. Non-dairy milk, vegan food, and gluten-free options are not confirmed in any review or on the website.

About a 5-minute walk from Nagoya Station. The cafe is on the ground floor of the 9h Nine Hours capsule hotel at 2-42-2 Meieki, Nakamura Ward. The entrance is shared with the hotel lobby.
Nagoya Station (Meieki) is the city's main transport hub and one of the busiest stations in Japan outside Tokyo. The Shinkansen stops here, putting Osaka 50 minutes away and Tokyo under 90. The surrounding Meieki district is a dense business zone with hotel towers, office blocks, and convenience stores at every corner. For nomads passing through or staying short-term, the area trades neighbourhood charm for pure logistical efficiency: everything is walkable, English signage is good, and the Meitetsu and subway lines connect to all parts of the city from the same station complex.
