デジタルノマド長崎
Digital Nomad Nagasaki is not a coworking space you can walk into. It is a competitive residency program run by the Nagasaki Nomad team, offering accepted participants free accommodation and access to local coworking hubs for stays of one week to one month. Only 10 slots are available per cohort, and the program runs on a seasonal basis.
The first cohort ran from October 13 to November 14, 2025, with participants based in monthly apartments in Nagasaki City. Private rooms with self-cook kitchens, shower rooms, and laundry machines were included, along with high-speed Wi-Fi and access to local coworking hubs. During the program, participants also traveled to the Goto Islands, northern Nagasaki, and Unzen City for immersive excursions.
In exchange for the free stay, participants are asked to contribute to the local community. This means sharing authentic stories and experiences with their audiences and taking part in community co-creation workshops and meetups with local entrepreneurs and creators. The program is run in partnership with Co-Nest, a coliving and coworking operator.
The team behind the program is led by Ryo, co-founder of Colive Fukuoka and a central figure in Japan's digital nomad community, with Nagasaki as his hometown. Past participants from Greece, Norway, Italy, and Israel have described the city as affordable, friendly, and historically rich. One called it comparable to Bansko in its appeal to established remote workers who want a place to settle into rather than just pass through.
No food service is provided as part of the program. Participants cook for themselves in their apartment kitchens. Nagasaki City has a wide range of restaurants and cafes. Dietary options are not confirmed through program materials. Check directly if you have specific requirements.
Applications for the next cohort open via the Nagasaki Nomad community newsletter. Join the mailing list at nagasakinomad.com to be notified when the next round opens.
